Rob Reyners, born 29th of April 1991, does it all; singing, conducting, playing various instruments like flugelhorn, trumpet and piano, making theatre, writing sketches and poetry, composing, arranging and teaching.
Rob lives in Roermond (NL) and studied Jazz Vocals and Music in Education at the Conservatory in Maastricht.
In January 2013 he presented his first CD “Haven’t Met You Yet” and in September 2015 he made his second CD “The Winner”.
In November 2013 Rob received the EuJazz Young Talent Award and in 2016 he won the Sweet Sorrow Award.
Music is his passion and his life, but he isn’t afraid to explore other art forms.
Despite of his jazz background Rob sings and makes music in different genres: jazz, pop, musical, world music and even sometimes (semi) classical music.
Narrating movies or commercials is something he does as well.
Rob also runs a production company by the name ‘OH producties’.
He does this together with his colleague and good friend Bart Segers.
In 2017 they were asked to renew opera bouffe Schinderhannes, in 2017 and 2018 they organised the successful interdisciplinary shows ‘Rob Reyners and Friends’ and in 2018 they produced the well-attented theatre tour ‘Kent U Deze Nog?’, with a reprise in 2019.
Bart and Rob are also frequently asked to give workshops at choirs, drama clubs, schools or companies.
In the following years they will produce several shows, some big and some a bit smaller.
Rob is a hard worker and is full of creativity.
He’s open minded, loves working together with other artists and always likes a challenge.
Music is his biggest passion.
Rob can adapt his voice to any musical situation and therefore he is able to perform with a pianist, a trio, a quartet, a quintet or even with a complete big band!
He has years of experience in performing in all kinds of settings, including several bands he founded.
A theatre show, a wedding ceremony, a party, a funeral, a festival, a living room concert, background music; he does it all.
In combination with his unique stage performance, every gig is a pleasure to watch.
His motto: “Life’s too short to be in a hurry; enjoy it!”
